This Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy forms an integral part of the Terms of Use of R.K. Handicrafts, and applies to all purchases made through our website rkhandicrafts.in
By placing an order on our Platform, you agree to be bound by the terms contained in this Policy.
1. DEFINITIONS
For the purpose of this Policy:
- “Product” means any item purchased from the Platform
- “Order” means a confirmed request by the Customer to purchase Products
- “Return Request” means a request raised by the Customer to return a Product
- “Refund” means the reimbursement of payment made by the Customer
- “Replacement” means exchange of a Product for another unit of the same item
2. RETURN ELIGIBILITY (7-DAY WINDOW)
2.1 The Company offers a 7 (seven) day return window from the date of delivery of the Product.
2.2 A Product shall be eligible for return only if all the following conditions are satisfied:
- The return request is initiated within 7 days from delivery
- The Product is unused, unworn, and in original condition
- All original tags, labels, packaging, invoices, and accessories are intact
- The Product is not damaged due to misuse, negligence, or improper handling by the Customer
2.3 Returns shall be accepted only under the following circumstances:
- Product delivered is defective or damaged
- Incorrect Product delivered
- Product significantly differs from description or image on the Platform
3. NON-RETURNABLE PRODUCTS
3.1 The following categories shall not be eligible for return or refund:
- Customized or made-to-order Products
- Perishable goods (if applicable)
- Personal hygiene or intimate-use items
- Clearance, discounted, or final sale Products (unless defective)
3.2 The Company reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet the above conditions.
4. RETURN REQUEST PROCESS
4.1 To initiate a return, the Customer must:
- Email rkhandicrafts1965@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery
- Provide Order ID, invoice details, and reason for return
- Submit clear photographic or video evidence (in case of damage/defect)
4.2 Upon verification, the Company shall:
- Approve the return request, or
- Reject the request with valid reasons
4.3 Approved returns will be processed through:
- Reverse pickup arranged by the Company, or
- Self-shipping by the Customer (as instructed)
5. INSPECTION & APPROVAL
5.1 All returned Products shall undergo quality inspection upon receipt.
5.2 The Company reserves the sole right to determine eligibility for refund or replacement based on:
- Product condition
- Compliance with return criteria
5.3 If the Product fails inspection, the Company may:
- Reject the refund request, and
- Return the Product back to the Customer at their cost
6. REFUND POLICY
6.1 Refunds shall be processed only after successful inspection and approval.
6.2 Refund timelines:
- Refunds will be initiated within 5–7 business days from approval
- Actual credit time may vary depending on the payment provider
6.3 Mode of refund:
- Prepaid Orders: Refunded to original payment method
- Cash on Delivery (COD): Refunded via bank transfer (Customer must provide details)
6.4 The Company shall not be liable for any delays caused by payment gateways or banks.
7. REPLACEMENT POLICY
7.1 Replacement shall be provided only in the following cases:
- Defective Product
- Damaged Product
- Incorrect Product delivered
7.2 Replacement is subject to product availability.
7.3 If replacement is unavailable, the Company may issue a refund instead.
8. RETURN SHIPPING
8.1 If the return is due to:
- Defective, damaged, or incorrect Product → Company bears return cost
8.2 For all other eligible returns:
- Return shipping charges may be borne by the Customer
- Such charges may be deducted from the refund amount
9. CANCELLATION POLICY
9.1 Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of placing the order.
9.2 Orders cannot be cancelled once:
- They are processed or shipped
9.3 In case of prepaid orders, refunds for cancellations will be processed within 5–7 business days.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
10.1 The Company shall not be liable for:
- Minor variations in color, design, or appearance due to photography or screen settings
- Customer dissatisfaction based on subjective preferences
10.2 The maximum liability shall be limited to the purchase value of the Product.
11. FRAUD PREVENTION
11.1 The Company reserves the right to:
- Deny returns/refunds in case of suspected fraud or misuse
- Blacklist Customers for excessive or abusive return behavior
12. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
This Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India, including:
- Consumer Protection Act, 2019
- Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020
All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in [R.K Handicrafts, Sector 48, Noida, 201303, India].
